ChatGPT, OpenAI, Anthropic?

I wrote about Notion AI a couple months ago. Since then, a lot has happened in the world of AI. OpenAI took headlines with ChatGPT, Microsoft laid off thousands to invest millions into OpenAI, and Google followed suit with also laying off thousands to invest millions into Anthropic AI and announces Bard. Why hasn't such corporations used those millions to invest in their employees - is a question that simply repeats history. For my fellow techmates, beware of the corporate checkmates and steer your own career.

P.S. And then there's Poe, from Quora.

Amazon's CodeGuru

"AWS launched CodeGuru in preview last December as a way for customers to automate the code review process, find bugs and suggest approaches to remediate them, hopefully before they ship to users."

From another good article on Amazon's progress in the Tech World: CodeGuru

Review: HackRod - Custom Designed Hot Wheels

I was watching this video clip on Hello World and was fascinated to see this company/vision called HackRod.

Very cool and fitting name! If you know "hotrod" and "hacking" then you might know where this is going. I think this group of visionaries are on to something though. I love their idea and their leading steps to changing manufacturing (and doing it in such a cool, useful way).

A Good Read

Review: Mozilla advocating data privacy with AI

I'm glad to see how proactive Mozilla is with advocating for data security and data privacy. As the world of technology continues to grow and become more personal with user information, we need policies that protect people. If the government is going to be slow, then why not use public persuasion especially in the private sectors?

Thanks Mozilla!

Review: Facebook's Aroma ML for Code Recommendation

I actually don't need to say much here except you should also read this article.
https://ai.facebook.com/blog/aroma-ml-for-code-recommendation/

Fascinating and useful!

I definitely have my days where I find myself digging through too many StackOverflow (or other Developer Forum sites) to find great coding answers to my problems. Thank you, Facebook!

Review: AI.gov

My Happiness

I am happy to see our national government establish a serious commitment to the development of artificial intelligence (AI): www.ai.gov.

My Concern

I am concerned that I don't see any established private sector partnerships who actually lead the development of AI including:
  • Google
  • Microsoft
  • Facebook
  • Apple
  • Amazon
  • Salesforce
  • Netflix
  • Nvidia

Review: Microsoft's AI Class for B-Schools

If you're in supply chain management , business operations, or logistics, then this is a must-read.

Here is another amazing milestone by Microsoft especially with publishing this article as a marketing strategy to shape all kinds of industries that need to start looking into AI implementation now. Just like the Web was coming in the 90's to businesses whether they liked it or not, businesses will need to be ready for the coming AI culture shift. Those not ready - well - will go out of business.
